Brandwacht aan Rivier – Stellenbosch

This beautiful house in Brandwacht aan Rivier is our clients 3rd project undertaken by Lynda Louw Interiors.

We thoroughly enjoy meeting up with old clients. Not only do we catch up on everything that happened since we last saw each other, but we also like to share in the excitement of the new project. Working closely together to ensure that the chosen fabrics compliment the finishes of the house is a pleasurable journey.

This is one of the projects where the most exquisite fabrics were used. The large pattern repeat of more than one meter on the roman blind in the kitchen created a focus point. The guest bedroom had to portray an old world charm, which takes you back in time. This was accomplished by the utilization of an old fashioned Boucle fabric on one of the roman blinds, but adding a modern, yet vintage twist. The Antique furniture was complimented by a vintage embroidered linen roman blind on the one side of the bedroom with a contrasting roman blind on the other window – just the way our grandmothers would have done. Consequently this bedroom is something special.

Several beautiful wallpapers were used throughout the house of which the leaf design in the guest bathroom was one. The wallpaper for the master bedroom reminds of starlight with its midnight blue and silver dots. The silver velvet headboard adds a touch of glam which is complimented by the damask and velvet scatter cushions on the bed. We custom designed a wallpaper for the cellar, to portray an image of the beautiful Stellenbosch vineyards.

The end result is a lovely, warm and welcoming home!
